Be a Shining Star - Help us celebrate our 60th Birthday

It's easy to be a Children's Ability Fund Shining Star and make things a little brighter for someone with a disability.

If you have a great idea for a fundraising project in your community - or at the office - let us know. We'll help publicize the event and provide support.

Be creative and have fun. How about a neighborhood BBQ, garage sale or bake sale; a penny carnival at the school; or an inter-office softball challenge or golf tournament? It's a great way to get a group of people together, have a lot of fun and raise a little money to assist someone in need.

Some of the more recent Shining Star projects include:
  • RAH Neonatal Unit - "Synapse"
  • AB Human Resources - Craft Night
  • 7-Eleven Coin Box program
  • Caesar's School of Music - Recital
  • Second Cup - Star Sales
  • Kid's Carnival - Millwoods Towne Centre - Kid's Carnival / Carnival of the Stars

Children's Ability Fund stars really shine! Together we can "enhance the independence of people with disabilities throughout northern Alberta."

Children's Ability Fund Stars are ordinary people who choose to do something extraordinary. Be a shining star today.

Call the Children's Ability Fund office @ (780)454-9191 to talk to us about a shining star project in your area.
